I can't wait to complete my website and send the address to parents so they can look on it for sight words, pics, and weekly spelling words.
ReplyDeleteThis class was awesome! I am definitely going to use weebly and movie maker. I think it would be a great way for the parents to get to see what's happening in the classroom!! Thanks Kamisha!
ReplyDeleteGreat Class! It was very informative and useful! I really like the weebly account aspect!
ReplyDelete-I can use lots of stuff with this. The kids can make recordings for their parents to hear along with pictures.
ReplyDelete-my students can access all of the stuff that we do in class from home to show parents too.
-students can blog together with me as administrator adn direct their conversations.
-To involve parents in the learning process, and allow kids to use their artistic abilities.
ReplyDelete-To check assignments and grades.
-Those children who have difficulty decoding from print, can listen to a story and answer questions.
Hey Girl:
ReplyDeleteIt was great I will try to use this next year for my monthly calendar newsletter and partant contact form. Dawn
Thank you for the workshop! I will be able to add much more to the slideshows and movies I've created in the past. I learned how to add audio and transition effects to movies. I also learned how to dowload pictures of my music class onto the weebly website. I will definitely make use of this.
ReplyDeleteI can use windows movie maker to make an end of the year memory video for my students. I could use weebly to communicate with parents. The students could see themselves learning in the video and remember the year. The weebly site would cut down on wasted paper. The movie maker could address different learning styles (auditory, visual, etc.).
ReplyDelete-show student work to parents and keep parents up to date on what's going on in class.
ReplyDelete-lets students know what they are doing in class in case they forget topics/assignments
-students who may not be able to read a story could actually watch and listen to the story through the web site or movie player.
1. You can use windows movie maker to edit a video of the class (maybe a performance). Weebly can be used to make a class website.
ReplyDelete2. Students could access the classroom website at home. This would give them access to any resources that teachers post.
3. You can put differentiated activities on the class website.
Movie Maker can be used in my classroom to show the stages of a finished project we are going to be doing in my science class after the CRCT. Weebly can be used to help me set up a website for my parents next year.
ReplyDeleteThe students will always know what is going on in the classroom and what is expected of them.
The students will be able to work as their own pace when we make the movie maker and produce their own work.
1. As a parapro, I would not really have access to do this, but I could help the teacher with many of the projects I already do for her on paper. Such as movies of our themes, such as Spring.
ReplyDelete2. The children might learn more readily from this format vs. paper, as it might hold their attention longer.
3. This format would allow one on one with the entire classroom at once, rather than having to work with one child at a time.
I could use the things I learned today to enhance communication with my students in the community and their parents. I often don't have contact with the families of the preschoolers I serve, and I think setting up a site through Weebly could really help. I could potentially set up different pages to address the many different speech issues that I deal with weekly, and could even password protect things that I want available only to certain students and their families.
ReplyDelete1. I can start an art room website in order to communicate with parents about what we are doing in class. It would be an excellent place for a student art gallery, lesson plan explanation, and links to art websites.
ReplyDelete2. Teachers can use Windows Movie Maker to edit a video shot of students and/or instruction. I forsee using a video to tape demonstrations
3. A demonstration video could be re-played over and over for students who need extra explanation and direction
Oops---now I'm gonna actually ANSWER the questions . :)
ReplyDelete1. I can use weebly by posting information regarding student performances, pictures, soloist names, awards, and even videos of my student performances.
2. I would also like for the students to view the website and add their own blogs regarding what they have learned in music or how they feel about their various performance/field trips with the chorus.
3.These tools will help students with technology skills, and also will help them to share their musical experiences in new and innovative ways. Thanks!
Donna Harvey writes that I can use this to post health form information, upcoming events such as JRFH, Field day etc......I really like this
ReplyDeleteMovie Maker would be a great tool for a creative homework assignment per season. I would have the students incorporate all subjects using audio and video. This would be great timelime for students to have to recap the achievements each year. This is a great tool to stimulate the creative abilities within.
ReplyDeleteDonna Harvey writes once again that I can post many things going on throughout the year, i.e. field day, JRFH, health form information etc....
ReplyDeleteThis tool would be great for children to express theirsevles in several ways. Through audio and video each child could do projects to reflect their own unique likes in all sujects. This material could be used as an evaluation for technical projections in the classroom
