  1. I could use Photostory to document the strategies used in my small counseling groups. I could also create social stories for some of my students that utilize pictures of real people in real sitautions. This will help to model appropriate behaviors.

Students would benefit by participating in the development/creation of the stories as well serve as models of appropriate behavior.

This program could also be used during classroom guidance lessons to demonstrate the different modes of feedback needed during the lesson and appropriate ways to garner adult and peer attention.

  2. I can use digital storytelling during morning circle with my students. I can also create stories for them for use with GAA. I can also use this as a social story which is great because it can be both visual and verbal. This is also great for showing pictures of my students and verbalizing our activities.

  3. I absolutely LOVE this program! I can see myself using it across all subject areas. Please Mrs. Boykin, keep bringing us this type of technology training. We need this so badly. It was so user friendly and fast. Mrs. Boykin did a great job!I never got bored once. I am so pumped to teach my kids this program. They can use it for organizing, illustrating, sequencing, etc. This was an AWESOME training experience! Mae Maddox

  4. We can review a story that was just read and have the students review it. This would benefit the students by empowering them and motivating them to create their own work and be able to see and hear their voices. Differentiation is accessible this way because you have the element of making it as complex or as simple based on the time and content you expect from your students.

  5. I could use this for training teachers and teaching information to teachers when they need extra help. This is very useful for children with autisim since they are visual learners. This could be used in a writing center.

  6. This workshop was a hands-on intensive delve into the world of digital storytelling. My group did Math Mug Shots--a look at simple addition. It was a great afternoon. There is so much I need to learn. Working with a small group of my peers provided the support I needed to successfully complete the digital project. Ms. Boykin, thank you so much.

  8. Photostory can be used to teach a variety of lessons from Math to Social Studies. Photo Storyteller can be used as a great alternative to presenting new information or reviewing learned material. Students can benefit from this program by being newly motivated in their learning. The program is fun! Advanced students could expand their learning of a topic by creating their own presentation. Supported students would benefit by having their motivation increased with a new/interactive way of presentation of material.

  9. 1.To simplify student responses to Partners in Literacy for the end of the year luncheon.
    2. A fun way to show their appreciation--pride as Adult tutors view the photostory.
    3. Differentiation would be addressed by letting students do their own pictures and opting out of writing their response on this particular project if that is a weakness.
